Shopee is the e-commerce arm of Singapore-based technology giant, SEA Limited. Shopee has the most monthly active users and downloads compared to Lazada and Amazon in Singapore.
Similarly, Lazada is an e-commerce giant that operates in Southeast Asia, owned by Chinese technology giant Alibaba. In September 2019, Lazada claimed it was the top e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia with more than 50 million active buyers annually.
Amazon launched its services in Singapore back in 2017. This American Multinational Conglomerate focuses on e-commerce as one of its many business units.

Based on the verified data (green ticks), although all three companies are paying above the industry average, Shopee pays its Mid and Senior level Software Engineers better compared to the other 2 companies.

Amazon has an average Glassdoor rating of 3.9 based on 60,634 ratings, which is higher than both Shopee and Lazada. Amazon takes the cake for this one!

Shopee has an evenly distributed tech team of senior talents in Singapore, with most of them equipped with two to five years of experience. Whereas Lazada and Amazon’s tech team in Singapore consists mainly of seniors with more than 10 years of experience.
If you’re looking for a good mix of people with a wide range of experience to work with, Shopee is probably the ideal place to be.
Lazada and Amazon should be the place to be for Junior Software Developers as their teams are made up of Senior Developers, who can guide you with their experience, allowing for faster professional growth.

Shopee, Lazada, and Amazon are all relatively new when it comes to them setting up office in Singapore. Therefore, most if not all of their employees are expected to have served less than 5 years in their respective companies.
Based on the number of years a person stays within the current company, they are split into the 5 segments as shown above. While the data above only reflects Shopee, Lazada, and Amazon’s current teams and does not reflect past employees, it can offer some interpretations.
In this instance, while all companies are made up of employees with less than 5 years of tenure within the company, there are some differences.
Shopee and Amazon’s teams are mainly made up of seniors who have stayed with the company for a while. Lazada’s team consists of more new hires.
If you’re looking for more guidance and experience, go for Shopee and Amazon. If you’re looking for somewhere with a more flexible culture, Lazada’s your best bet.

It’s pretty clear-cut that Lazada wins this round with 14% of female engineers compared to Shopee and Amazon’s 7% each.

Title Changes in this instance would refer to the amount of promotions that are found within the 3 companies.
First things first, the data on NodeFlair Insights only reflects title changes amongst the tech team. While this may mean a change of role or function, most title changes do directly correlate to a promotion.
Lazada wins this round with a higher margin of 25% of its talents receiving promotions compared to 16% at Shopee, and 7% at Amazon.
However, it is worth noting that Shopee has a larger team, meaning that more people actually got promoted at Shopee (127), as compared to Lazada (17).
For simplicity’s sake, let's just look at the percentages.

A healthy Headcount Growth would usually mean that the company is experiencing a good period of growth! This should be a good indicator of whether or not you should join a company.
It’s a no-brainer that Amazon is leading in the tech team headcount at 9% of its total headcount. Shopee follows closely behind with 4% and looks to be expanding its tech team quickly, while Lazada is at 1% having experienced a slight dip six months ago.

Tallying up the total score, It turns out that this contest comes out to a draw, with each company having 3 points each.
