Come join the team as an ASEAN Public Sector Solutions Architect – Security, within Amazon Web Services (AWS) Public Sector ASEAN team based in Singapore.

Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will deliver architecture guidance, lead proof-of-concept projects and conduct customer workshops. You will also drive collaboration with customers and partners to address security as well as compliance challenges. Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects, working cross-organizationally to facilitate widespread use and adoption of the AWS platform, and developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of Security and Compliance experience – must have strong experience and understanding of customer security/compliance requirements.
• 10+ years of experience in any other following or related to Technology Architect, Consultant, Cloud Architect, Technical Lead, Software Developers, Engineering Lead, Sales Engineer, Pre Sales Engineer or Systems Engineers, etc.
• Can create proof of concepts, demos, and/or scripts from scratch or leveraging reusable components.
• Can take the lead on a complex technical project, which may require the participation of other teams to deliver.
• Able to create technical content that is easily adopted and reusable by others.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS or other technical cloud certifications.
• Executive speaking and presentation skills – Formal presentations, white-boarding, large and small group presentations.
• Be dynamic and creative, and willing to embrace the high degree of change and uncertainty that comes with inventing and delivering things that were never thought possible.
• Have a passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud computing systems for a diverse and challenging set of customers. Have a strong understanding of large scale cloud computing solutions.
• Have past experience working as presales. Enjoy keeping existing technical skills and developing new ones to make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions around systems and applications in the cloud.
