Introduction to Role:

Join us at AstraZeneca as a Business Test Engineer in our Oncology R&D department. In this role, you will be accountable for delivering business testing for agreed system and configuration releases within the Regulatory Information Management (RIM) / Enterprise Regulatory Vault (ERV) platform. This is a business-side role that requires close collaboration with both business and IT members of the Regulatory Platform team.

Accountabilities:

As a Business Test Engineer, you will conduct business testing, create and update test scripts, support the execution of test scripts, conduct test impact assessments, and expertly use key tools such as Jira/X-Ray, Excel, and project planning tools. You will also anticipate, document, and address issues related to testing, develop expertise in the ERV system, contribute to the improvement of an effective test approach, establish and manage a traceability matrix, and provide regular communication and status reporting.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Experience authoring and executing UAT (user acceptance test) scripts
• Experience interpreting business user stories (aka requirements) and translating to test scripts
• Experience with system development lifecycle of validated systems/platforms within a regulated environment
• Experience in agile system development and working within a global team
• Fluent in written and verbal English
• Experience working with GxP regulated systems within the biopharmaceutical industry
• Experience with Veeva Vault applications, preferably the Veeva Regulatory Suite
• Knowledge of Regulatory Information Management systems and practices
• Professional qualification in software testing, e.g. ISTQB/ISEB Foundation certification
• Previous experience with AstraZeneca
• Ability to build relationships across cultures, functions, and disciplines to deliver a quality service
