PowerBI developer: Senior BI (Power BI)/ SQL Developer- Power BI

Job Description:

Looking for Senior BI/ SQL developer with strong SQL/ analytical skills and responsible for designing & delivering dashboards and data analysis. This candidate is a resource that can work business team to get requirements, design, analyse data to develop dashboards to support business needs. This candidate will also work with IT reporting team for scheduled SDLC projects.

Mandatory Skills: - Data Analytics, Python, ETL, SQL and Power BI

Notice Period: - Immediate to 1 Week

Experience and skill set:

• 4 to 5 years of experience in data analytics

• 5 plus years of strong SQL, ETL (data transformation) experience.

• 5 plus years of experience using Power BI and other BI tools is a plus

• Experience of Microsoft SSRS is a plus.

• 2 plus years of MicroStrategy BI tool experience is a plus

• Hands on experience creating dashboards/ reports using BI tool

• Experience in preparing reports to report trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.

• Experience using Python and working on Predictive Analytics is a plus

• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with RDMS systems such as Oracle, SQL Server etc.

• Experience of working in agile environment.

• Strong communication and written skills

Responsibilities:

• Would be responsible for consolidating data from many different sources to create Power BI

dashboards and reports.

• Derive key findings and observations from analysing various data sources, and together with

more senior analytics staff and communicate the finding orally or in writing or presentation

decks.

• Would be responsible for writing backed SQL transformation logic and sql adhoc queries to build reports and dashboards, data analysis to provide insights to business.

• Would be responsible for writing technical details and unit testing details along with queries for project implementation.

• Experience of working in agile environment.

• Fundamental competency in analytic techniques such as: time series data analysis, segmentation, metrics and KPI, research & test design, significance testing, variance and growth calculations and forecasting

Education: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field required
