As a Data Engineer on our Neuron Analytics Platform, you will help build and operate one of the largest data platforms for automotive data, the leading API marketplace in the automotive data industry, and facilitate AI/ML practice against a large and varied real-time data pipeline.

Role Responsibilities

Maintaining a large and growing set of data sources and pipelining processes to deliver 100% reliability and integrity
Use cloud-native principles for massive scaling and cost-efficient use of cloud resources
Applying innovation, intelligence, and heuristic approaches to our ETL rather than standard, fixed brute-force rules
Continuously enhancing our technology platform and toolsets as new problems arise: building and buying when appropriate
Becoming a subject matter expert in the data itself, to apply better semantic checks and structure the data more intelligently than anyone else could
Building an agile version management and production release process for data
Working with our customers to help them develop more agile internal data management processes
We use a range of tools and technologies:

Must have – SQL, PySpark, DataBricks, Snowflake, Python, RDBMS, Cloud,Kafka

Nice to have – AWS, Postgres, EMR, Spark, Docker, Kafka

We are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of ETL concepts but is not just a DBA or ETL developer, who is not wedded to any particular toolkit, and who is comfortable with programming, algorithmic thinking, automated testing, and pushing the envelope on agile database development and process automation. This position is perfect for a data junkie with a development bent.

Role Requirements

Bachelor's degree in CS, or equivalent experience.
At least 7-11 years of commercial work history managing complex data sets with novel, fault-tolerant approaches.
Track record of success in using diverse technologies and approaches to manage data in an extremely dynamic environment.
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with at least 3 years of experience or a Masters degree; OR in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, at least 5 years of experience
Understanding of utilizing Agile software development methodologies
Deep knowledge of at least one programming language along with ability to execute on complex programming tasks.
Ability to document, track and monitor a problem/issue to a timely resolution
Knowledge of operating systems
Collaborative problem-solving ability and self-motivated
Strong verbal and written communication skills along with prioritization of duties
