Software Developer Engineer III

Overview:

We seek an experienced and highly skilled Software Developer Engineer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development using Django and Python, coupled with a proven track record in leading and managing engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of backend engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success and growth.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust backend systems using Django and Python.
• Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and team coordination, ensuring projects are completed on time and to specification.
• Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
• Design and implement system architectures that are scalable, efficient, and maintainable.
• Work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring the application runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all development processes and systems.
• Implement best practices to protect the application and user data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development using Django and Python, with 1 year in a leadership or management role.
• Strong proficiency in Django and Python.
• Expertise in RESTful API design.
• Solid understanding of SQL databases; experience with PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Proven experience in managing software development projects and leading engineering teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proactive attitude and a willingness to take ownership of tasks and projects.
• The FRND team operates six days a week, with the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month as working days.
