Senior Software Engineer

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

Our Domain Search team is looking for a Senior Software engineer to join us in building and improving Domain Search at GoDaddy. Domain Search is one of the key strategic pillars of GoDaddy, and it has made an important contribution to the company's revenue, customer growth, and innovation! As an engineer, you would play a major role in improving the domain search experience, architecture, and analytics across the 42 markets we support worldwide, and the add-on products and advertising we offer when the user searches for a domain. You could be a backend engineer with data pipeline experience or a Data pipeline engineer with backend service experience.

What you'll get to do...

• Building services that help our internal customers succeed
• Develop APIs and write code to transform and enrich data in both batch and streaming scenarios
• Support data applications, ad-hoc analysis, both SQL and NoSQL databases, and BI systems
• Testing code (e.g. writing functional and unit tests)
• Embracing Agile methodologies to release and deploy iterations of our services continuously
• Embracing DevOps methodologies for enabling and supporting always-on services

Your experience should include...

• 5 + years of industry experience in a Software Engineering role and building large-scale data applications
• Strong hands-on experience in programming languages like Java, Python, or Go Lang
• Strong foundational knowledge in data structures, algorithms, software designs, microservices, and cloud computing
• Experience building CI/CD and server/deployment automation solutions
• Experience with AWS and BigData technologies

You might also have...

• BS/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Knowledge of machine learning technologies is a plus
• Passion for developing sophisticated and groundbreaking solutions for real-world business problems
• Strong desire to learn and to grow
• Experience in an Agile development environment is preferred
