We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

• Managing the engineering capability across the programmes / initiatives and acts as an overall technical leader for the PODs
• Responsible for tracking and driving technology excellence in team by keeping tab on latest trends in technology, adoption of new tools, working out on Demise plans of old unsupported apps, making sure team is aligned with latest architectural model followed in organization , working out plans for migration , working on evergreening existing apps.
• Works in collaboration with delivery lead, API Designers, solution analysts and contribute to solve complex business problem by providing low level technical solutions.
• Mentoring and Coaching junior developers and keeping them up with the latest happening in organization in technology.
• Liaises with tech lead and scrum master to ensure the smooth delivery of a product (APIs).
• Defining and enforcing the engineering quality gates.
• Continuous improvement of processes, tooling, and engineering practices
• Ensure that planned technical debts are tracked till closure.
• Help to drive Jira hygiene within team.
• Ensuring Sprint and PI goals are achieved and working with delivery management and RTE to address RAIDS.
• Work with team to increase velocity of PODs to achieve productivity gain.
• Drive optimum level Junit and integration testing adoption!
• Working with QA lead and embedded performance engineer to achieve quality and performance goals.
• Works in collaboration with Delivery lead and VS / SVS leads to resolve external dependencies.
• Ensure the engineering teams follows API development standards set out and agreed by the architecture team /core engineering team.
• Closely work with the delivery lead to produce estimation and monitor the efforts.
• Works with the VS/SVS product owners, run ahead discovery team, RTEs and delivery lead to ensure enough backlog for team for proper utilization.
• Work with the service management team to identify probable services becoming unstable and prepare a plan to fine tune them.
• People and performance management aspects of the team
• Line management of engineering capability (Tech leads / developers) in Value stream.
• Work on initiatives to reduce overall Cloud cost for Unsecured Digital Space
• Implement ideas to of Service improvement by finding leakages in systems, gaps in processes and saving opportunities in environments.
• Lead one Technically inclined initiative each year to build awareness of upcoming technologies in team.
  
  

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Solid and proficient skills in Java, Spring Framework, Micro Service, RAML, OAS.
• Strong foundation in Restful design practices
• Experience in working with API management platform (e.g. Mule gateway, Kong Gateway)
• Experience in modelling data in JSON.
• Experience in Scrum and Agile
• Knowledge of DevOps tooling (e.g. Jenkins, Git, Maven)
• Experience in Unit Testing, Data Mockup and Automation Test
• Strong communication, analytical, design and problem solving skills
• Source code scanning and security (e.g. checkmarx)
• Experience on performance tuning and understanding the reports.
• Experience in JWT and SAML authentication Tokens.
• Cloud experience is a plus (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), GCP, AWS, Ali Cloud)
• Spring Reactive is a plus
• No-SQL DB experience is a plus (e.g. Mongo DB)
• Knowledge or experience of any ESB tools (e.g. IIB, Mule, MQ, SpringBoot)
• Willing to learn/explore various technologies especially in Integration domain
