Job Description

• Application Dimensioning and Infra Capacity Assessment Planning
• Analyze customer’s application scalability requirements to support current and futuristic traffic/subscriber volumetric in order to estimate dimensioning output using sizing tools(i.e assessment of Infra capacity requirements comprising compute and storage)
• Review and provide guidance on application deployment architecture.
• Provide guidance on Infra capacity projection basis compute/storage resource utilization and traffic growth pattern.
• Performance Scope Planning, Monitoring and Reporting
• Act as interface between Product management and Product Engg teams to help define Non Functional Requirements(Scalability, Resilience, Observability, Availability) scope for a target Application/solution release
• Finalize deployment topology shape, assess Infra capacity to facilitate provisioning for target application/solution environment for In-house NFRs benchmark testing
• Work closely with OSS application/solution performance execution and architecture engg teams to help identify performance bottlenecks, facilitate troubleshooting, and provide tuning guidance in specific areas (App DB, Cloud Infra, Kubernetes etc)
• Responsible to publish performance benchmark reports in consultation with Product management and Product Engg teams.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross functional teams to help achieve (non-functional) business requirements.

Responsibilities

We are looking for Subject matter experts with strong abilities in the following areas:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent)
• Experience: 6-10 years’ experience in performance tuning of complex systems
• Technical experience:
• Technical & functional expertise in OSS (Network Inventory Resource Management, Auto Discovery and Reconciliation, Service Assurance)) Telecom domain
• Hands On experience in design and implementation of well performant, Resilient (HA/DR) OSS solution architecture
• Expertise in performing problem diagnostics, performance troubleshooting, identify application tuning opportunities using available performance levers to meet target performance KPIs.
• Proficiency in leveraging simulation tools
• Strong understanding of database technologies including SQL, PL/SQL
• Automation/scripting experience using Ansible/Python/Shell/Java
• Analytical and Technical Communication Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with strong ability to articulate technical thought process to diverse stakeholders verbally and in writing.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the following technical areas would be beneficial although not essential.

• Understanding of storage technologies including SAN, NAS, DFS, Block object storage services
• Technical Advisory experience in performance optimization features across Data/Caching/business logic layers
• Good understanding of Application s/w cloud native principles and cloud Infra technologies
