As a key member of the Pega Services Engineering team, you will work with a passionate and self-driven product team, delivering new and innovative business and technical solutions using Java technology.

In this role, you will engage deeply in building core features of Pega platform which runs thousands of BPM and CRM applications around the world. You would be embracing various CNCF technologies to make the platform cloud native i.e., making platform stateless, scalable, seamlessly upgradable, observable, and highly performant. You will write code that is clean, unit tested and modularized using modern test-driven methodologies. You will be adopting best Devops practices using industry standard CI/CD solutions.

What You'll Do At Pega:

• Work as part of a collaborative Agile team working in a SCRUM model surrounded by fun loving talented engineers.
• Work with Product owners and other stake holders along with the team members to design and build features into the product.
• Innovate, Design and implement world class software.
• Ensure that the delivered work meets functional and technical requirements, and quality standards.
• Debug and maintain existing code base.
• Document and follow development standards for all coding.
• Follow TDD to ensure high code quality.
• Unit test code to ensure technical requirements are satisfied.
• Work on complex issues to design and develop high quality software.
  
  

Who You Are:

• You are a highly technical hands-on individual who is passionate about exploring and applying Java technology to help solve business problems.
• 1-3 years of experience in analysis, design, development, and application deployment of large-scale Java centric enterprise application systems/Web/SaaS based applications.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)
• Hands-on with microservice architectures, debugging experience.
• Strong experience in using Micronaut/Spring boot frameworks.
• Have good database experience (both SQL/NO-SQL ( cloud native) databases like MongoDB
• Hands-on experience in core java, algorithms, data structures and problem solving.
• Experience with container management technologies and concepts.
• Agile/Scrum development methodology knowledge/experience.
• Experience using the following: Kotlin, Kubernetes, AWS, Core Java, JUnits, tools like IntelliJ/Eclipse, Jenkins, Linux
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving skills and mentoring skills
• Excellent time management and organization skills, with the capability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate, partner and collaborate.
• Willingness to go the extra mile.
• Dedication to achieving outstanding customer results with a team-oriented drive and a demonstrated ability to lead by example
  
  

What You've Accomplished:

• You’ve built and implemented cloud native, enterprise-level business solutions and applications.
• You’ve led end-to-end delivery of small to medium component of bigger solution.
• You’ve been exposed to a variety of technologies including Application Servers, programming languages, relational and non-relational data bases and integration techniques.
• You’ve demonstrated knowledge of and applicability of Object-Oriented techniques and principles.
• You’ve delivered solutions in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Skilled Java software engineer with 1-3 years of experience, who can explore, understand, and write good quality code quickly.
• You understand and willing to work following Agile/Scrum development methodology.
• You take constructive feedback with open mind and work to continuously improve yourself.
• You are a self-starter and a self-learner.
• You are pro-active to take work and to explore new areas.
