Overview:

Protiviti is seeking a highly skilled GRC Cybersecurity Specialist to join our Chennai team. The ideal candidate will possess 3 to 7 years of experience in governance, risk management, and compliance, with a robust background in cybersecurity. This role is essential in ensuring that our organization’s information systems are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Governance:
Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures based on industry best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT).
Regularly review and update security policies to ensure they are current and effective.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
Risk Management:
Perform risk assessments to identify and evaluate security risks.
Develop risk mitigation strategies and implement appropriate controls.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management activities.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
Conduct internal audits and assessments to verify compliance.
Prepare for and manage external audits, collaborating with auditors as needed.
Incident Response:
Assist in the development and implementation of the incident response plan.
Participate in the investigation and resolution of security incidents.
Conduct post-incident reviews to improve security processes.
Training and Awareness:
Develop and deliver cybersecurity training programs and awareness initiatives.
Stay updated with emerging cybersecurity threats and trends, sharing knowledge with the team.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA are highly desirable.
Experience:
3 to 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on GRC.
Proven experience with GRC frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT).
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in using GRC tools and software.
