General Summary

We are looking for a senior data engineer and analyst with a strong background in business intelligence for the business of IT. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, data models, and reports that provide insights into the performance and efficiency of our IT organization. You will join a global team of high performing professionals to stand up a business intelligence capability that will enable us to analyze the business of IT from various facets including finances, people, work, technology, applications, and business capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines that ingest, transform, and integrate data from disparate sources such as ITSM, TBM, PPM, CMDB, and EA systems.
• Build and optimize data models that support business intelligence and reporting needs for the Business of IT.
• Create and deliver reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights into the performance and efficiency of our IT organization.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT leaders, and data analysts to understand and define data requirements, metrics, and KPIs.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across data sources and reports.
• Research and evaluate new data sources, tools, and technologies to enhance our data model and analytics capabilities.
• Document and communicate data engineering and analytics processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related field. OR 7 years related work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering and data analytics, preferably in the IT domain.
• Proficient in SQL and Python, and familiar with other programming languages such as R, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with data warehouse and data lake architectures, data modeling techniques, and tools.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services such as AWS and Azure, and data pipeline tools such as Airflow, Spark, or Kafka.
• Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of business intelligence and analytics concepts and methodologies, such as data quality, data governance, data visualization, and data storytelling.
• Knowledge of IT business processes and functions, such as ITSM, ITFM, PPM, CMDB, and EA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and CICD pipelines, and ability to automate and monitor the deployment of data solutions through test, stage, to production environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
  
  
  

OR

5+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

• 2+ years of any combination of academic or work experience with programming (e.g., Java, Python).
• 1+ year of any combination of academic or work experience with SQL or NoSQL Databases.
• 1+ year of any combination of academic or work experience with Data Structures and algorithms.
