As Senior Battery Test Planner and Requirements Engineer for energy storage systems, every day is not the same in your multicultural team. You will be responsible with your colleagues for the development of the best-fit-solutions in Energy Storage for our global customers and make a significant contribution to the energy transition. With our Siemens Energy-wide collaboration, we combine various sustainable solutions to increase our customer happiness.

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, R&D, and product management to gather and analyze requirements for battery system testing. (up to 1500V DC)
• Develop comprehensive test plans, protocols, and procedures based on project goals, specifications, and industry standards.
• Define test requirements and criteria for performance, reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Establish traceability between test requirements, design specifications, and verification activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Coordinate with test engineers and technicians to ensure test setups, instrumentation, and procedures are aligned with test plans and requirements.
• Identify and prioritize test cases based on risk assessment, failure modes analysis, and customer use cases.
• Define test coverage metrics and criteria to evaluate the effectiveness and completeness of testing activities.
• Document test plans, requirements, and verification activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:
• Master´s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Control System Engineering, preferred, but other fields will be considered.
• 10+ years professional work experience with design of Power Systems for utility installations, PV plants, Battery Storage Systems (BESS).
• Profound knowledge of Hardware development from prototype to SoP. Experience with hardware in power system domain is a plus.
• Motivated to adapt into new technologies.
• Intercultural experience and motivation to work with multicultural teams.
• Good communication and presentation skills and a self-organized way of working in an intercultural environment.
• Knowledge in Battery Management System Hardware is a plus.
• Fluent in English (mandatory); German skills are a plus.
• Long-term experience with large storage system is a plus.
• Strong understanding of battery technologies, test methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
