Quality Assurance (SDET) - Multifinance Industry

Requirement 

● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Informatics) or equivalent. Open to non-engineering backgrounds with strong technical expertise. 

● Min 2 years of experience in QA/TE/SDET or a similar field 

● Strong technical and programming skills 

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

● Proficiency in quality management software (e.g., Jira) 

● Strong attention to detail and accuracy 

● Effective communication and teamwork skills Qualifications 

● Testing Skills: Knowledge of testing types (Smoke, Regression, Sanity), testing techniques (Decision Table, Black Box, etc), and bug management. 

● Programming: Familiarity with basic programming concepts (variables, data structures, functions, and async programming) in one or more languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python, or similar. 

● Automation Frameworks: Experience with one or more frameworks like Cypress, WebdriverIO, Appium, or k6 for API and web automation, Mobile Automation. 

● Software Tools: Basic Git, Linux, SQL, and understanding of REST APIs. 

Key Responsibilities

Testing Domain

● Develop and document test plans, test cases, and test strategies.

● Execute manual and automated tests (regression, integration, UAT, system, etc.).

● Identify, log, and track defects in defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).

● Ensure comprehensive test coverage and measure effectiveness.

● Monitor and report key test metrics (pass/fail rates, defect density, etc.). 

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., development, product). 

Product Analysis 

● Review product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. 

● Conduct risk-based testing to prioritize critical product areas. 

● Perform usability testing to identify UI/UX issues. 

● Validate product features against business requirements. 

● Track product versions and ensure feature testing aligns with release stages. 

Technical Analysis 

● Perform performance testing to identify and resolve bottlenecks. 

● Evaluate scalability by testing system performance under load. 

● Test APIs and integrations to ensure system interoperability. Automation Testing 

● Develop and maintain test automation (e.g., Cypress, etc.). 

● Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts. 

● Generate and analyze detailed test reports. 

● Update and maintain automation scripts based on product changes. 

● Contribute to the test automation strategy and prioritize which tests to automate.
