The Customer Obsession automation pillar is enabling revolutionary experiences to automate support contacts. The mobile tech is a window through which these experiences are enabled and forms a significant strategic advantage to Customer Obsession and Uber.
The mobile engineer will lead and own building new experiences in collaboration with various stakeholders - UX, PM, Operations.

- Experience in development in large scale systems
- Metric/data driven approach to problem solving
- Familiarity with high memory usage apps, like navigation or video streaming.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers to achieve project goals and deliverables.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and timelines.
- Come up with the right architecture and design for ideas and experiments to quickly scale.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight to the team. Raise the software engineering bar through effective code/design reviews.
- Own the success of your team's projects and deliver quantifiable results in a timely manner.
- Coach and mentor engineers to help with their learning and career growth
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the engineering team
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.

- 5+ years software engineering experience
- Strong expertise in Android engineering, keeping up-to-date on the latest developments
- Deep understanding of Android SDKs
- Product development experience
- Great communication skills and an ability to work in a team and with stakeholders
- Experience with writing, releasing, maintaining mobile applications
