Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

Work with business units and team members to address process flows and productivity through application design and automation
Develop intuitive and maintainable software components that address end-user needs
Maintain, update, or enhance software applications regularly to meet new requirements
Review, analyse, and test applications on cloud platforms
Troubleshoot coding issues promptly to minimise business impact, particularly in operational workloads and transactional reporting environments
Continuously improve/enhance software development processes or life-cycle
Provide training and guidance to other team members in the use of software applications

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
1 to 3 years’ experience in developing software applications.
JavaScript exposure is required, especially as it pertains to NoSQL database and RESTful API consumption on the backend
Development experience in a major front-end library is highly advantageous, such as with React.js or React-adjacent like Next.js or Remix.
Experienced in full-stack development frameworks, including database schema for NoSQL and SQL (ORM) OLTP-oriented workloads
Any experience in Linux OS is advantageous, especially with Debian-based distros and working in a CLI-first environment
Knowledge of modern cloud-based tools is advantageous such as but not limited to GitHub, Azure, and Containerization (Docker, Compose, PaaS, FaaS, etc.)
Broad understanding of security principles in modern web applications
