[Remote] Senior Data Engineer (Data Architect)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to design and build modern data platforms on Microsoft technologies. In this role, you will work on cloud-based data solutions, helping clients manage, integrate, and leverage their data effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop data architectures on Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and M365. 
• Build and optimize data pipelines and data models. 
• Design lakehouse solutions and support data integration across systems. 
• Implement data governance and security standards (e.g., Microsoft Purview). 
• Work with Power BI to design semantic models and support reporting needs. 
• Collaborate with data engineers, cloud teams, and stakeholders. 
• Participate in technical discussions, solution design, and client workshops. 

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or BI. 
• Strong experience with Azure data services and Microsoft ecosystem. 
• Good knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration. 
• Experience with tools like Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric. 
• Understanding of data governance and security principles. 
• Experience with SQL (T-SQL) and big data tools (e.g., Spark) is a plus. 
• Good English communication skills (both written and verbal). 

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar governance tools. 
• Knowledge of AI/data solutions (e.g., Azure OpenAI, RAG). 
• Experience with event-driven architecture (Event Hubs). 
• Microsoft certifications (DP-203, DP-600, AI-102). 
• Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments.
