About The Role
We are looking for a
Senior Mobile Engineer to lead the design, operation, and continuous improvement of our
enterprise mobile environment. This role supports a large, global user base and plays a critical part in ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable mobile solutions across Abbott.
You will act as a subject matter expert for mobile platforms, working closely with internal IT teams, the business, and key technology partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support enterprise mobile solutions for iOS and Android
- Own and manage MDM/MAM platforms such as Microsoft Intune and Workspace ONE
- Ensure stability, availability, performance, and security of mobile environments
- Lead mobile engineering initiatives, including new solutions and platform enhancements
- Define mobile policies, configurations, and security standards
- Support over 100,000+ users globally across multiple Abbott divisions
- Partner with internal teams (Security, Network, Messaging, End‑User Computing)
- Work closely with vendors including Microsoft, Apple, Google, Samsung, and Omnissa
- Produce technical documentation, SOPs, and architecture designs
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to peers
- Support critical incidents and provide leadership during crisis situations
What We’re Looking For
- 4–8+ years of hands‑on enterprise mobile engineering experience
- Proven experience managing 20,000+ mobile devices in large environments
- Strong expertise in Intune and/or Workspace ONE
- Solid understanding of :
- iOS and Android platforms
- Apple Business Manager, Android Enterprise, Samsung Knox
- Mobile security, access controls, and policy management
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics to non‑technical stakeholders
- Experience working in large, global, enterprise environments
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience
