We are hiring for a high-impact **Senior Software Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)** role with a strong focus on **Observability** — supporting platform reliability, monitoring, and modernisation initiatives for Indeed.

📍 **Location:** WFH

💼 **Role Split:** Software Engineering (60–70%) | SRE (30–40%)

🔷 **What You'll Work On**

Design & maintain scalable backend and platform components

Implement observability solutions across distributed systems

Configure dashboards, alerts, and APM (tracing, metrics, logging)

Deploy and operate services in Kubernetes environments

Integrate observability tools into CI/CD pipelines

Automate monitoring workflows using Python

Provide Datadog operational & training support to R&D teams

🔷 **Must-Have Skills**

🛠️ **Core Engineering**

Python / Node / Java (4+ years)

Hands-on API integration experience

Strong Kubernetes experience (deployment, operations, monitoring)

☁️ **Observability & Monitoring**

Datadog (preferred) or Prometheus / Grafana

APM, dashboards, alerts configuration

Containerised / microservices architecture monitoring

🌐 **Cloud & Infrastructure**

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

CI/CD pipeline integration with observability tools

🔶 **Nice-to-Have**

Experience owning and operating internal observability platforms

Datadog agent installation & configuration

Go (Golang) familiarity

Experience with New Relic, Dynatrace, Elastic Stack, or Splunk
