Position: Intermediate Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Location: 20 Bay St., Toronto, ON, Canada Remote (Canada)

Work Model: Hybrid(3 Days per week onsite)

Salary Range: $120000 – $130000

Note: Healthcare Domain Experience is Required

Mandatory Skills:

Strong experience in Linux and AWS Networking
Building/designing AWS networks (Transit Gateways, ELBs, ALBs, SGs, etc)
Experience with Istio
Perhaps actually being a part of a Cloud Networking team and/or having previous Networking experience with, possibly, a CCNA from a previous non-Cloud role.

About This Opportunity:

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an Intermediate Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a newly established Toronto-based engineering hub. This is a net-new role created to support rapid platform growth as the organization scales its cloud infrastructure to meet increasing demand.

This position will play a hands-on role in building, maintaining, and evolving cloud-based platforms, with a strong emphasis on infrastructure as code, Linux environments, and AWS services. You will collaborate with a growing cloud engineering team, including both Canada- and US-based members, to support critical healthcare workloads.

What You’ll Do:

Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code approaches, primarily with Terraform
Support application deployment and platform operations, working closely with operators and platform-level services
Develop automation and operational tooling using scripting languages such as Python and Bash
Manage and support cloud-based environments on AWS, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security
Work extensively within Linux environments, with a strong focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Support and interact with databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
Ensure infrastructure complies with healthcare security standards, including the secure handling of Protected Health Information (PHI)
Collaborate within a cloud engineering team of approximately 15 members to deliver high-quality, scalable infrastructure solutions

What You Bring:

3–5 years of experience as a Cloud or Infrastructure Engineer supporting cloud-based platforms
Hands-on expertise writing and maintaining Terraform code for infrastructure provisioning
Strong experience working with AWS cloud services
Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, Perl, or similar) for automation and operational tasks
Extensive experience with Linux, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Solid understanding of cloud networking fundamentals
Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
Exposure to healthcare or regulated environments, with an understanding of secure data handling practices
Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed engineering team

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required
