About the Role

Join us as a Senior Full Stack Developer at Align, responsible for a regulatory compliance platform that manages product, part, and supplier chemical data across Internal and Supplier Portals. You’ll help evolve a modern web platform that enables compliant product development and supplier collaboration, with strong focus on quality, security, and scalability.

Role expectations

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Build and enhance web applications using React + Next.js with clean, reusable components and optimized UX.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js (REST APIs, integrations, business workflows).
• Translate complex regulatory and business workflows into well-designed UI + API solutions (approvals, notifications, dashboards, multi-supplier logic).
• Own end-to-end delivery: design, implementation, code review, testing, release support, and production troubleshooting.
• Work closely with Product, UX, QA, and DevOps to refine requirements, shape solutions, and ensure smooth delivery.
• Apply secure coding practices to protect sensitive supplier and compliance data.
• Improve performance, observability, and maintainability of the system through refactoring and technical improvements.
• Mentor other engineers and raise engineering standards across the team (quality, testing, code hygiene).
  
  

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Frontend

• Strong experience building modern web apps with React and Next.js
• Solid JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals (ES6+), HTML/CSS
• Experience with UI libraries (e.g., Material UI or Bootstrap) and responsive design
• Frontend testing experience (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)
  
  

Backend

• Strong experience with Node.js backend development (REST APIs, middleware, authentication/authorization)
• Good understanding of microservice-style architecture and API design best practices
• Experience documenting APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger
  
  

Engineering Practices

• Strong in unit testing, code reviews, and delivering production-quality code
• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps ways of working
• Comfortable with Agile delivery (Jira/Confluence)
  
  

Data / Systems

• Working knowledge of SQL basics and general database concepts (schema, queries, data validation)
• Understanding of authentication and authorization patterns (RBAC preferred)
  
  

Nice-to-Have (Preferred)

• Experience with AWS and containerization (Docker); OpenShift exposure is a plus
• Experience with code quality/security tooling (SonarQube, SAST tools like Veracode)
• Experience with performance testing/monitoring tools (e.g., JMeter-equivalent concepts)
• Experience working in a regulated domain (healthcare, compliance, audit-heavy environments)
• Basic Unix/Linux scripting skills
