Description

Amazon World Wide Operations Organization is seeking a Software Development Engineer to help build Amazon's indirect supply chain.

In this role, you will be working in one of the world's largest and most complex supply chain business environments. You should be passionate about utilizing the latest technologies to build end to end business solutions, working with huge datasets to answer business questions. You should have deep expertise in the creation and management of backend and frontend applications and data stores, as well as proven ability to translate data into meaningful insights.

As a software development engineer in the team, you will get to collaborate with product managers, senior and peer-level software engineers across GPT organization. This role provides you with autonomy and ownership on decisions, working backwards directly from customers. Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will..

• Define scalable software architectures, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall user experience
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, and other Software Development Engineers to deliver the product.
• Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement
• Take responsibility for technical problem-solving, creatively meeting product goals, and developing best practices.
• Mentor and support the growth of other developers.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
