As a Product Manager for Premium Cards, you will own the end-to-end management of a defined card product or segment within the portfolio. You will shape product strategy, drive execution, and continuously optimize performance.

You will work closely with cross-functional partners including Acquisition, Partnerships, Risk, Finance, Control Management and regional teams to deliver customer-centric and commercially strong outcomes.

You will balance customer value, commercial performance, and risk discipline, while ensuring consistent delivery against business priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for assigned card products or features, aligned with broader portfolio and market priorities.
  • Manage product performance across key revenue drivers, cost levers, and investment decisions. Track results through clear metrics and regular reviews.
  • Lead the design, development, and launch of new features, benefits, and enhancements from concept through post-launch evaluation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to shape value propositions, customer messaging, and lifecycle engagement strategies.
  • Monitor product performance using customer, spend, and engagement data. Identify opportunities for growth, optimization, and innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with Acquisition teams to align on targeting, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Contribute to external partner engagements through planning, performance tracking, and product-related initiatives.
  • Ensure all initiatives meet American Express governance, risk, and compliance standards.
  • Drive disciplined execution through strong program management, clear timelines, and effective stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

  • 5โ€“8 years of experience in product management, marketing, or commercial roles, ideally in cards, payments, or consumer financial services.
  • Experience owning or contributing to the end-to-end lifecycle of consumer financial products.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actions.
  • Proven ability to manage complex initiatives and deliver results in cross-functional environments.
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to collaborate across teams without formal authority.
  • Experience working in matrix organizations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in regulated environments with strong risk and compliance requirements.
  • Structured thinking with strong attention to detail and execution discipline.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Customer-focused, data-driven, and pragmatic in decision-making.
