We are hiring Senior Cloud Operations Engineer
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Senior System Ops Engineer with about 5-6 years of experience in Windows and SQL/SSMS Administration to join the Cloud Services Team. In this role, you will be part of the Cloud Operations team responsible for ensuring seamless delivery and security of cloud services for clients by Monitoring, configuring, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting systems.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and administer Applied Cloud services, including software updates, installations, problem investigation, resolution, and escalation.
- Collaborate with Development, Support, and Implementation teamsto ensure the best possible client experience.
- Develop and maintain policy and procedural documentation.
- Work closely with other Cloud Services groupsto resolve issues and assist with configuration changes and testing.
- Perform SQL tasks, such as database backups, restores, VEEAM based backups, SQL Updates, Upgrades, and running scripts.
- Undertake additional dutiesas assigned by the immediate manager or management team.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
We’re looking for someone who:
- From Tuesday to Saturday and Timings will be 7am to 4pm.
- Shift timings and Working hours may change in line with Organization requirements
Your experience should include some or all of the following:
- System Administration:
- Proficient in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) for routine database administration tasks.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers and workstations.
- Support the operation of SQL Server databases, including basic performance tuning and optimization.
- Database Management:
- Perform regular backups and restores for SQL databases.
- Monitor database performance and assist in troubleshooting issues.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support for Windows, SQL, and SSMS-related issues.
- Assist in resolving technical problems and escalate complex issues to senior team members.
- Coordinate with software vendors for basic support and troubleshooting.
- Incident and Problem Management:
- Assist in managing and resolving incidents and problems related to IT operations.
- Participate in developing and implementing incident response plans.
- Help analyze root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain documentation of systems, processes, and procedures.
- Generate reports on system performance and incidents.
- Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
