IT Data Science Lecturer

Job Description

1. Assist in programme development, manage programme administration, and contribute actively to school initiatives and strategic goals.
2. Teach and facilitate high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate Computing and ICT courses through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and conventional modes.
3. Develop industry-relevant course content and ensure quality through translation, proofreading, editing, and plagiarism checking of academic materials.
4. Perform student supervision, academic advisory, and academic counselling.
5. Conduct research and publish scholarly, reputable publications.

Professional Requirements and Experience

• Minimum Master’s degree in Data Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in teaching, research, and supervision.
• Proven involvement in postgraduate and undergraduate supervision.
• Demonstrated track record of research and publication in reputable journals or conferences.
• Familiarity with digital learning tools and online teaching platforms for delivering instruction through ODL mode.
• Collaborative and team-oriented, with excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Dedicated to continuous improvement in teaching and learning practices, and adept at implementing innovative instructional strategies.
