Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and delivery of an integrated management system aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and digital capabilities.
The Product Manager will work closely with internal Product Owners, stakeholders, and external development teams to translate business requirements into actionable product features. The role requires strong stakeholder management, product development, and project management capabilities, particularly within complex multi-stakeholder environments. The Product Manager may also take on project management responsibilities to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document business and user requirements.
- Facilitate product conceptualization workshops and innovation trials with stakeholders.
- Translate requirements into clear user stories and product backlog items for development teams.
- Maintain and continuously refine the product backlog to ensure alignment with project priorities.
- Work closely with developers to translate requirements into technical implementations.
- Ensure that product features align with operational, security, and compliance requirements.
- Engage and manage expectations of business owners, sponsors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Conduct requirement walkthroughs and validation sessions to ensure alignment.
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure smooth project execution.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to plan project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, coordination, and progress tracking.
- Analyse requirements to drive the design of test cases, business processes, and system workflows.
- Ensure completion of documentation required for system development and governance processes.
Project Management (for smaller initiatives)
- Develop project proposals to secure project funding and resources.
- Manage project scope, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Produce project status reports and communication materials.
- Escalate issues and risks in a timely manner.
Continuous Improvement & Security
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and system efficiency.
- Ensure cybersecurity requirements and best practices are embedded throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support compliance with relevant technology and security standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in software development environments.
- Experience working with Agile / Scrum development teams.
- Strong experience in requirements gathering, user story development, and backlog management.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders in complex projects.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical product specifications.
- Experience working with system integrators, vendors, and external development teams.
- Understanding of software product lifecycle and delivery frameworks.
- Experience working in large-scale digital transformation or enterprise technology projects.
- Familiarity with procurement and governance processes.
- Exposure to enterprise system implementations.
