Job Description

Job Summary

The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms and pipelines that transform raw data into reliable, accessible information to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and business decision-making.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable data architecture, including data lakes, data warehouses, datamarts, and enterprise data pipelines
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple source systems while ensuring performance and scalability
Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and security through validation, monitoring, and compliance with data standards and policies
Collaborate with business users, system owners, IT teams, and data stakeholders to translate data requirements into functional specifications and deliver end-to-end data solutions
Support strategic initiatives and ad hoc data requests, including data extraction, reporting, user acceptance testing, documentation, and ongoing data platform support

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Management, Economics, Business, or a related field
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in data engineering, data platform development, or related roles
Strong knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, relational and non-relational databases, and ETL/ELT processes
Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience using data engineering, big data, or cloud-based tools and platforms
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
