[HCM] Solution Engineer - Solution Consultant (B2B SaaS)

Enterprise clients don’t buy software - they buy solutions to their operational challenges.

At Base.vn, the Solution Engineer sits at the center of complex B2B deals where the challenge is not simply presenting a product, but understanding how a business operates and designing the right solution to improve it.

While the Sales team focuses on relationships and deal negotiation, the Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) analyzes operational problems, designs system workflows, and turns those solutions into convincing narratives through demos and structured reasoning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Solve complex enterprise problems

• Analyze operational challenges that Sales encounter with enterprise clients
• Design solutions on the Base platform and translate problems into system workflows

Support complex deals

• Partner with Sales on high-value deals or complex cases
• Explain and defend solution logic in discussions with clients

Build scalable solution approaches

• Develop frameworks to solve similar business problems in the future
• Guide Sales teams in identifying and structuring complex client challenges

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a related discipline with strong analytical training.

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in roles such as Solution Consultant, Pre-Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Business Analyst, or similar positions where you were required to analyze complex problems and design structured solutions.

Skills & Mindset

• Strong analytical and systems thinking, with the ability to break down complex business problems into structured solutions
• Understanding of how software solutions solve real business operational challenges
• Curious about understanding how different businesses operate across industries
• Ability to clearly present or demonstrate solutions to stakeholders
• Strong communication skills when explaining complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Compensation

Total compensation package includes: Base salary + Commission + Bonuses + Allowances

Expected income range:

• First 6-12 months: 12M - 20M VND/month (On Target Earnings)
• After 1 year: 20M - 40M VND/month

Commission is tied directly to revenue performance, with enterprise deal sizes typically ranging from hundreds of millions to billions of VND.
