The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality, high-performance software solutions for the Flow Cytometry instruments.

This position reports to the Flow Software Manager and is part of the India Development Center Software R&D team located in Bangalore, and will be an on-site role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

Develop instrument software within a collaborative team environment
Execute all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements specification, design, implementation, integration, testing, and documentation, in compliance with company QMS procedures
Take ownership of the design and implementation of software modules
Gather inputs from stakeholders, develop concepts, and conduct feasibility studies
Perform quality assurance activities such as risk analysis, technical reviews, and code inspections, and support software maintenance and enhancements
Drive continuous improvement of software development processes
Work in an iterative product release environment with a strong focus on quality and timely delivery

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of experience in commercial software development, with hands-on expertise in C# or C++
Strong understanding of software design principles, with the ability to work effectively as an AI-enabled senior developer
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams as a strong team player
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Software development processes in a regulated environment such as the life sciences / medical device domain
Experience using MFC
Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD
