Cloud Migration Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist in designing migration solutions covering: Compute (VM/Kubernetes), Storage (Object Storage/File Storage), Databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and Landing Zone architecture.

2. Collaborate with customer migration teams to provide ongoing technical support and migration services.

3. Promptly respond to customer inquiries and relay feedback to Tencent Cloud team.

4. Participate in the entire migration project delivery process including Proof of Concept (PoC) testing, implementation, and cutover phases.

5. Complete delivery tasks according to project timelines.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum 2 years of public cloud experience (cloud migration delivery experience preferred).

2. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with teams to complete assigned delivery tasks.

3. Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (AWS/GCP/Azure) including their core products and solutions.

4. Working knowledge of AWS/GCP/Azure products, such as MySQL/PostgreSQL databases, Object storage (S3/Blob/GCS), Kubernetes, Kafka, etc.

5. Understanding of cloud migration tools, such as AWS DMS/DTS/DataSync, GCP DMS/Transfer Service, Azure DMS.

6. Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python/Go/Java preferred).

7. Strong English documentation skills to independently complete project migration documentation.
