Responsibilities

Prepare test designs, test cases, test data to ensure quality and reliability of complex bioinformatics functions/features
Analyze data and troubleshoot issues
Develop and maintain automated function tests.
Perform test activities, primarily, within a micro-services platform.
Develop, execute and maintain performance tests and other non-functional tests.
Report and manage software anomalies in the SDLC.

Requirements

3-5 years of experience in testing bioinformatics pipelines, algorithms, tools
Any experience with oncology variant interpretations tools and software is preferred.
Well versed with NGS analysis outputs, file formats (VCF, BAM, FASTQs), variant annotation data bases
Proficient with genetic data visualization tools like – IGV.
Minimum 2 years of experience of manual and automated testing for web-based applications.
Proficiency in one of the following programing/scripting languages: Java/Typescript/Python/Perl/R
Proficiency in one of the following testing frameworks such as Junit, TestNG, Selenium Web Driver or Playwright (Puppeteer).
Proficiency in HTTP protocol and HTTP REST API.
Practical experience in following tools Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
Practical understanding of Agile SDLC.
Comfortable in collaboration with Global teams - open to collaborating with other teams across multiple time zone.
Familiarity with disease ontologies, clinical interpretation databases is a plus
