Test Engineer (WoA)

Role Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing computer hardware and software maintenance, troubleshooting, testing and reporting.

• Support WOA Validation Engineering team for testing and validation
• Perform basic computer setup and maintenance, including computer disassembly and assembly, WOA installation and driver installation/upgrade, BIOS flash/upgrade
• Run testing and perform issue troubleshooting and reporting
• Conduct reported issue reproduction and validation, collect and analyse test logs, generic triage & debug
• Complete all test requests on time and communicate revised schedules as necessary
• Utilize software tools such as bug tracking tools, databases, and others as required
• Submit bugs into tracking tools and accurately classify severity levels
• Perform ad-hoc testing on new software and firmware components and assist in developing test plans
• Understand/modify/develop and execute simple scripts using Python or other programming languages
• Provide periodic updates and feedback testing status or improvements proposal to test plans
• Work on multiple projects or tasks and complete them on schedule

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 years of working experience with Windows on Arm (WoA)
• Knowledge of PC hardware and software
• Knowledge of Windows OS and driver installation, bios upgrade, testing and troubleshooting
• Attitude to take initiative, learn, and grow
• Ability to work independently with minimal instructions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
