What you can expect from the job

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Data Engineer with expertise in SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and reporting solutions across diverse industries. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure robust data architecture and efficient data flow for analytics and decision-making.

Design and implement scalable data pipelines using SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere.

Develop and maintain data models, custom flows, and reporting structures.

Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Create and enhance reports and dashboards using SAP BI/BO and SAC.

Lead end-to-end implementation projects, including architecture planning and user acceptance testing.

Conduct system audits and recommend improvements for performance and efficiency.

Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to best practices in data engineering.

Act as the technical point of contact for clients, ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery.

What will help you do the job well

Must-have Skills/ Characteristics

Proficient in SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere for data modelling and pipeline development.

Skilled in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for building interactive dashboards and KPIs.

Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.

Proficient in Python for data manipulation and scripting tasks.

Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server and SAP ECC/S/4HANA environments.

Knowledgeable in SQL and ABAP for custom extractions, transformations, and routines.

Capable of optimizing system performance through data cleanup and architectural improvements.

Effective communicator with experience in stakeholder engagement and team leadership.

Other Desirable Skills/characteristics

Knowledge of SAP BI/BO tools such as WebI and Lumira for report creation and visualization.

Knowledge of ISMS Principles and best practices.

Willingness to travel domestic/International.
