Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer / BI Developer – Dashboard Reporting (Azure Platform) to design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade data pipelines and integration workflows. This role combines deep expertise in data engineering, API-based integrations, and Azure cloud services to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that enable actionable insights and seamless connectivity across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Pipeline Development: Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks for batch and real-time processing.
- Integration Solutions: Develop API-based integrations and connect multiple platforms using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Pipelines, and Power Automate.
- Data Modeling & ETL: Build and manage data models, ETL processes, and optimize SQL queries for analytics and reporting workflows.
- Cross-Platform Connectivity: Develop integration workflows between SharePoint, Azure services, and reporting tools through REST APIs or connectors.
- Secure Data Sharing: Implement secure, scalable data ingestion and sharing via APIs for external and internal systems.
- Automation: Automate business processes and reporting schedules using Power Automate and Logic Apps.
- Dashboard & Reporting: Design and manage dashboard reporting solutions that turn data into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Data Storage & Formats: Work extensively with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and manage data in Parquet and other optimized formats for analytics.
- Performance & Scalability: Optimize pipelines for high-volume, low-latency processing and cost efficiency in cloud environments.
- Monitoring & Reliability: Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging for data pipelines and integrations; implement disaster recovery and high-availability strategies.
- Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, lead technical discussions, and collaborate with Solution Architect and Business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives in data and integration processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and Azure Pipelines.
- Strong understanding of API development, integration patterns, and handling REST/SOAP APIs.
- Proficiency with Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint integration.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, database design, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and working with Parquet file formats.
- Experience building data workflows and integrations across enterprise systems.
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD and version control.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power BI or other BI visualization tools.
- Exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics and data lake environments
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in Python or Scala for data engineering tasks.
- Knowledge of data governance tools (Collibra, Azure Purview ).
- Certification in Azure Data Engineer, Power Platform, or Azure Solutions Architect.
- Prior experience with data integration in large enterprise ecosystems.
