Job Overview:

CGI is looking for a talented and motivated Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Spring boot and Microservices to build and manage scalable, efficient, and reliable data pipelines and infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, working closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services using Java

Build RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, QA, and DevOps

Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices

Participate in system design, code reviews, and technical discussions

Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

Ensure adherence to security and data protection standards

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

Required Skills & Qualifications:

6+ years Strong hands-on experience in Java (8/11/17+)

Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA

Experience with Microservices Architecture

Strong understanding of REST APIs and web services

Experience with Hibernate/JPA

Proficiency in SQL and database design (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL)

Experience with Git and version control systems

Good understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning

Familiarity with build tools (Maven/Gradle)
