Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Position: Senior Software Engineer

Experience: 8+ yrs

Main location: Hyderabad

Employment Type: Full Time

We are looking for skilled Full Stack Engineers to build and enhance a unified data governance and observability platform.

The role involves developing user-facing applications and backend services for:

• Data catalog
• Lineage visualization
• Data quality monitoring
• Governance workflows
• GenAI-powered metadata insights
  
  

The platform will be built using open-source technologies (e.g., OpenMetadata), AWS services, and modern web frameworks.

Future duties and responsibilities

List principle responsibilities.

• Build intuitive UI for: data catalog & search, lineage visualization, stewardship workflows and governance dashboards
• Integrate GenAI features (search, summarization, recommendations)
• Ensure usability for both business and technical users
• Develop APIs and services for: metadata ingestion and management, lineage integration , data quality signals and governance workflows
• Integrate with tools like OpenMetadata, Great Expectations (DQ), OpenLineage
• Design scalable microservices architecture
• Integrate with: AWS data services (S3, Glue, Redshift, etc.), data pipelines (Airflow / Glue) and existing enterprise tools
• Enable metadata ingestion from multiple sources
  
  

Required qualifications to be successful in this roleClearly identify the essential qualification vs the desired qualifications. What skills/experience must this person have to be considered?

• 8 years of experience in full-stack development
• 8 years of experience working with React, Angular, Node.js, Python or Java
• 4 years of experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, API Gateway, etc.)
• 3 years of experience in leading the Fullstack engagements
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience with data platforms / data engineering concepts, APIs and data integration
• Exposure to metadata tools (OpenMetadata, Alation, Collibra) is a plus
• Experience or exposure to: LLM APIs (OpenAI / Bedrock), prompt-based applications and RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation)
• Experience with: Great Expectations (Data Quality), OpenLineage and Airflow or orchestration tools
• Understanding of data governance concepts, lineage, stewardship, classification, policies
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Experience with modern frameworks (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
