M365 and EMail Security Engineer

• 7-10 Years of hands-on Experience in Exchange online and Email Security (Mimecast)
• Administer and manage the Mimecast platform, including Email Security, Continuity, Archiving, and Awareness Training modules
• Configure and maintain security policies such as anti-spam, anti-malware, impersonation protection, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
• Perform message tracking, threat analysis, and incident response for phishing, malware, and spoofing attacks
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of SMTP, mail flow, and DNS configurations (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• Manage user access, roles, and permissions, including delegate access and secure authentication mechanisms
• Handle critical and complex incidents (mail flow failures, tenant-wide issues, hybrid misconfigurations)
• Design and implement Exchange Online and hybrid architectures
• Deep troubleshooting using advanced PowerShell and message headers analysis
• Manage and optimize mail flow rules, connectors, and transport rules
• Lead migration projects (cutover, staged, hybrid migrations)
• Implement security & compliance solutions (eDiscovery, retention, DLP, auditing)
• Work with advanced threat protection via Microsoft Defender for Office 365
• Automate administrative tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Graph API)
• Analyze and resolve performance and scalability issues
• Collaborate with Microsoft support for product-level escalations
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and publish reports
• Define best practices, standards, and governance policies

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Exchange Online and hybrid deployments
• Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation
• Strong understanding of mail flow, connectors, and transport pipeline
• Expertise in identity (Azure AD / Entra ID), authentication, and federation
• Knowledge of compliance & security frameworks
• Experience with Exchange migrations and coexistence strategies
