Job Overview:

CGI is looking for a talented, motivated and detail-oriented Python Developer with strong expertise in data processing and analytics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python and Pandas, along with a solid understanding of data manipulation, performance optimization, and scalable data solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data-driven insights and automation solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust data processing and analysis solutions using Python and Pandas
• Clean, transform, and manipulate large datasets from multiple sources to ensure usability and accuracy
• Perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights for business stakeholders
• Optimize existing data processing scripts for performance, scalability, and efficiency
• Write clean, modular, reusable, and well-documented Python code following best practices
• Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all data pipelines
• Automate reporting processes and streamline data workflows to improve operational efficiency
• Troubleshoot and debug data-related issue
  
  

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Python Development
• Strong proficiency in Python programming
  
  

Solid understanding of:

• Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs concepts)
• Data Structures and Algorithms
• Sorting techniques and logic building
• Memory optimization techniques
  
  

Experience with:

• File handling (YAML, JSON)
• API integration and RESTful service calls
• Pandas & Data Handling
  
  

Hands-on experience with:

• Data manipulation and transformation
• Data merging and concatenation (merge, concat)
• Working with PyArrow
• Handling Parquet files
• Database & Querying
• Strong understanding of SQL basics (queries, joins, aggregations)
• Big Data & Processing
• Exposure to or hands-on experience with PySpark
• Version Control & Environment
• Basic knowledge of Git (version control, branching, commits)
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
  
  

Preferred Skills (Good To Have)

• Experience working with large-scale data pipelines
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Familiarity with automation tools and scheduling frameworks
