Job Overview

Chandigarh University is looking for a skilled Moodle Developer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) to support the university’s digital learning ecosystem. The role requires strong technical expertise in Moodle development, plugin customization, and system integration to ensure a seamless and scalable e-learning platform for students and faculty.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Moodle LMS according to organizational requirements.
• Design and implement new Moodle plugins, themes, and modules.
• Integrate Moodle with third-party applications, APIs, and university systems.
• Manage Moodle upgrades, patches, and version updates.
• Optimize platform performance, security, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing technical support.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, faculty, and IT teams to enhance the learning platform.
• Ensure data security, backups, and proper documentation of development processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Moodle LMS development and customization.
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with Moodle plugin development and theme customization.
• Understanding of REST APIs, web services, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with Linux server environments and database management.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Experience

• 2–4 years of experience in Moodle development or LMS platforms.
