Role Description

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with 3–4 years of experience who can contribute to the development and execution of automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript). The candidate will work closely with development teams to ensure application quality through effective automation and testing practices.

The role involves testing React frontend applications and Python backend APIs, and supporting performance and stress testing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
Execute UI automation and API test cases.
Test applications built using React frontend and Python backend services.
Assist in performance testing and stress testing activities.
Understand functional requirements and convert them into test scenarios and automation scripts.
Prepare and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
Log and track defects using JIRA.
Work with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint testing activities.

Requirements

Required Skills

3–4 years of experience in QA Automation
Hands-on experience with Playwright automation using TypeScript or JavaScript
Experience in API Testing
Understanding of React frontend applications
Basic knowledge of Python backend services
Ability to create test cases and automation scripts
Understanding of test reporting and defect tracking

Good to Have

Experience with JIRA
Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps
Basic understanding of performance testing concepts

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience working in Agile development environments
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
