Position Details

Position: Sr. Software Engineer/ Technical Lead (QA Automation Engineer - Playwright)

Hiring location: Hyderabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar

Work mode: Hybrid, 3-day work from office

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and 6 to 10 years of relevant industry experience. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, leveraging AI and machine learning techniques to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and defect detection. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and data scientists to understand requirements and define test automation strategies.
• Analysing requirements, providing estimation, designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites for web and API applications using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or similar.
• Integrate AI/ML models into the test automation process to optimise test case generation, defect prediction, and test data creation.
• Create and execute automated scripts for regression, functional, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects; work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
• Write and maintain clear test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in test automation and AI integration.
• Stay up to date with industry trends in test automation and AI, and share knowledge within the team.
• Analyse test results and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.
• Finding Root Cause analysis, Updating Traceability matrix

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6 to 10 years of proven experience in test automation using Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML concepts and their application in software testing.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and automation frameworks (e.g., Rest Assured).
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.
• Strong database query skills.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, best practices, and test design techniques.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI) is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI-driven test automation tools or frameworks.
• Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision as applied to testing.
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
• Knowledge in Commercial P&C Insurance is an added advantage.
