Now, Cisco is seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to develop high-impact features across modern web applications and Java-based backend systems—playing a key role in delivering intelligent, AI-powered solutions that enhance network performance, automation, and user experience at scale.

Your Impact

As a Tech Lead in the Full Stack area, you will own major product areas spanning backend services, APIs, and UI workflows.

• Own End-to-End Product Delivery: Lead the design and delivery of SD-WAN management workflows across UI and backend, including configuration, policy management, observability, and troubleshooting features.
• Architect Scalable Systems: Design and build high-performance Java-based services and REST APIs, along with responsive React/Angular frontends for large-scale, real-time network operations.
• Drive Modernization & Reliability: Break down monolithic systems into cloud-ready modular architectures, while improving API contracts, data flows, and system performance across distributed environments.
• Lead Technical Excellence: Drive production issue resolution, root cause analysis, and system optimization while mentoring engineers through design reviews and code reviews.
• Collaborate & Innovate: Partner with Product, UX, and Platform teams to deliver customer-centric solutions and enhance engineering efficiency using CI/CD best practices and AI-powered development tools (e.g., Copilot, Codex).
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

An ideal candidate with 12+ years of full-stack development experience, along with a degree in Computer Science (BE/BTech/MS/MCA or equivalent) or relevant practical experience—we value diverse backgrounds and career paths.

• Experience in Java-based backend development, including designing and operating services that handle high request volume and concurrent workflows.
• Experience in frontend applications using Angular or React, delivering complex user workflows such as dashboards and configuration interfaces.
• Expertise in design and delivery of features spanning multiple services or teams, including defining APIs and system interactions.
• Experience in debugging production issues tracing failures across services, and resolving performance bottlenecks.
• Actively use of AI-powered developer tools (e.g., Copilot, Codex, or similar) to improve development speed, debugging, and test generation.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications (Optional Skills)

• Exposure to networking domains, especially network management systems.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and public cloud platforms.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern quality practices.
• Experience with Python or scripting for automation and tooling.
