Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Cloud Operations Engineer to join our Managed Services team. This role focuses on the day-to-day operations, monitoring, and maintenance of our AWS cloud infrastructure. You will be the first line of defense, ensuring system health, responding to alerts, and performing routine administrative tasks to maintain high availability and security.

Skills & Responsibilities

Experience: 4 to 6 years of professional experience in AWS cloud operations or IT infrastructure management.
Monitoring & Alerting: Use AWS CloudWatch and SNS to monitor infrastructure health, performance metrics, and system logs. Respond to incidents and escalate as necessary.
Infrastructure Operations: Manage and maintain core AWS services including EC2 instances, S3 storage buckets, and VPC networking components.
Incident Management: Troubleshoot common connectivity, storage, and compute issues. Perform root cause analysis for routine operational failures.
Security & Compliance: Execute continuous monitoring processes and cloud security evaluations. Manage IAM users, roles, and permissions to ensure least-privilege access.
Environment Support: Assist in migrating workloads to AWS and support the deployment of pre-configured environments.
Reporting: Generate regular reports on resource utilization, system uptime, and cost-optimization opportunities.
Core AWS Services: Hands-on experience with EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, and RDS.
Networking: Strong foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls (Security Groups/NACLs), and HTTPS.
Operating Systems: Proficiency in managing both Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
Web Stacks: Basic understanding of web servers (Tomcat/Nginx) and databases (MySQL).
Security Tools: Working knowledge of AWS CloudTrail and IAM for auditing and access management.
Soft Skills: Ability to translate technical issues into simple terminology for clients and collaborate effectively within a 24/7 managed services environment.
