Machine Learning Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist (Machine Learning) | Bangalore having 7+yrs to join our team at BestPeers. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building scalable ML models, applying statistical techniques, and driving data-driven decision-making across business functions. You will be responsible for the end-to-end ML lifecycle, from problem formulation to deployment.

We are a team of 550+ engineers, driving innovation across Product & Data Engineering, focusing on Agentic AI, RPA, Full Stack, and GenAI-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for real-world business problems
• Apply advanced statistical and analytical techniques to extract insights from large datasets
• Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model optimization
• Build and evaluate models using regression, classification, clustering, and ensemble methods
• Work with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets using SQL and Python
• Implement model validation, monitoring, and performance tuning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and business stakeholders
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team

Must-Have Skills

• Strong expertise in Machine Learning (Regression, Classification, Clustering, Ensemble Methods)
• Solid foundation in Statistics, Probability & Experimental Design
• Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn)
• Strong experience with SQL & Large-Scale Data Handling
• Expertise in Feature Engineering & Model Evaluation Techniques
• Hands-on experience across the end-to-end ML lifecycle (build, validate, deploy)

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Deep Learning (CNN, RNN, Transformers)
• Familiarity with TensorFlow / PyTorch
• Exposure to Cloud Platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Experience with Databricks & ML Pipelines
• Knowledge of NLP / Generative AI
• Strong mentoring and team collaboration skills
