Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Full‑Stack Developer with strong expertise in Angular and Java, along with solid backend and database experience. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on exposure to cloud‑native environments, non‑relational databases, and application performance monitoring, with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and runtime efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack applications using Angular (frontend) and Java (backend).
Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions using Microsoft SQL Server.
Work with Couchbase as a non‑relational database, including:

Index creation and optimization
Query performance analysis
Data modeling for scalability

Build and support cloud‑native applications, with awareness of containerized deployments.
Work with Kubernetes, including:

Understanding requests and limits
Managing replicas and scaling behavior
Deployment and rollout awareness

Participate in load testing and performance readiness activities.
Monitor application health and performance using tools such as Dynatrace and OpenTelemetry.
Troubleshoot runtime issues and performance bottlenecks across the application stack.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality, reliable deliveries.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Angular – mandatory (strong hands‑on experience).
Java – mandatory (backend development experience).
Strong SQL skills with Microsoft SQL Server (Oracle experience not required).
Experience with Couchbase or similar NoSQL databases, including indexing and query optimization.
Basic to intermediate Kubernetes knowledge (deployments, replicas, resource management).
Understanding of cloud‑native application concepts and containerized environments.
Familiarity with load testing and performance validation practices.
Experience with application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry, or similar solutions.
Strong understanding of runtime performance, system behavior, and observability fundamentals.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

Experience working in distributed or microservices‑based architectures.
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps‑oriented development practices.
Prior experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting production systems.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Compensation: - $110,000 to $130,000 +/- and this position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 5/25/2026
