Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain software applications using COBOL/400 ensuring high performance and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements.
Utilize CLLE to enhance existing systems and create new functionalities that improve user experience.
Perform database management tasks using DB2/400 ensuring data integrity and security.
Write and execute CLP scripts to automate processes and streamline operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
Participate in system testing and validation procedures to ensure software meets specifications.
Document software processes and procedures maintaining comprehensive records for future reference.
Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices into development.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Optimize software performance through regular analysis and implementation of improvements.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies. Qualifications -
Possess strong technical skills in COBOL/400 CLLE DB2/400 and CLP with a proven track record of successful projects.
Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with a focus on COBOL/400 and related technologies.
Demonstrate proficiency in database management and scripting languages ensuring efficient and secure operations.
Exhibit excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to challenges.
Show strong collaboration skills working effectively with diverse teams to achieve common goals.
