Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our team in a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate will have expertise in IMS DC DB2 IT Service Management IMS DB and JCL with a strong understanding of Cards & Payments as a preferred domain skill. This role involves day shifts and does not require travel.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software solutions using IMS DC DB2 IMS DB and JCL to meet business requirements and ensure system reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze design and implement IT service management processes that align with organizational goals.
Provide technical expertise in the development and optimization of database structures and queries using DB2 to enhance system performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IMS DC and IMS DB ensuring seamless operations and minimal downtime.
Conduct code reviews and implement best practices to ensure high-quality software development and adherence to industry standards.
Participate in requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand project needs and translate them into technical specifications.
Create and maintain detailed documentation for software applications processes and configurations to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
Perform unit testing and integration testing to validate software functionality and ensure compatibility with existing systems.
Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Support the Cards & Payments domain by leveraging knowledge and expertise to develop solutions that meet industry-specific requirements.

Qualifications

Possess strong technical expertise in IMS DC DB2 IMS DB JCL and IT Service Management with proven experience in software development and maintenance.
Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
Exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Have a solid understanding of database optimization techniques and experience in working with DB2.
Show familiarity with Cards & Payments domain processes and requirements which is considered a valuable asset.
Display proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation for software applications and processes.
