Backend Engineer (Execution & Liquidity Integration)

About the Role

We are building a next-generation execution layer that connects to multiple liquidity venues and market data sources. As a Backend Engineer, you will design systems that enable real-time market connectivity, execution, and data ingestion.

This role is ideal for engineers interested in market microstructure, execution systems, and cross-venue trading infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain execution connectors to external trading venues and liquidity sources
• Develop real-time market data pipelines (order books, trades, funding rates)
• Implement order routing and execution logic across multiple venues
• Handle WebSocket and RPC integrations with high reliability
• Ensure low-latency and high-throughput processing of market data
• Build systems for position reconciliation and execution tracking
• Optimize performance for latency-sensitive workflows
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate development, debugging, and data analysis

What We’re Looking For

• 5–7+ years of backend engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python or Rust
• Experience working with real-time streaming systems (WebSockets, pub/sub)
• Strong understanding of async/concurrent programming
• Familiarity with networking and API integrations
• Strong commitment to clean, structured, and maintainable code

Strong Plus

• Experience with crypto exchanges, DeFi protocols, or trading APIs
• Built systems for cross-venue execution or liquidity aggregation
• Familiarity with on-chain/off-chain interactions
• Experience handling high-frequency market data feeds
• Understanding of order books, slippage, and execution strategies
• Exposure to perpetual futures and derivatives markets
• Experience using AI tools for coding, testing, or system optimization
