Software Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of hands-on experience in manual and/or automated testing, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of software development life cycles. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and prepare detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
• Identify, document, and track bugs using defect management tools
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues
• Execute test cases and report test results with clear documentation
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups (Agile/Scrum)
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman or similar
• Validate UI/UX, workflows, and data integrity
• Contribute to automation testing (if applicable)
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation)
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr)
• Hands-on experience in API testing (Postman, REST APIs)
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
• Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Mobile application testing experience (iOS/Android)
• Exposure to performance or security testing is a plus

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
