What is the job?

The Payment Data Writer/Coder is responsible in designing, developing, and maintaining automated reports, dashboards, and data workflows that ensure accurate and reliable payment processing. The role writes efficient queries, performs data extraction and transformation, validates data accuracy, and partners with operations, finance, and IT teams to support end-to-end reporting needs.

Responsibilities:

• Automate payment workflows and reporting to reduce manual effort.

• Build payment reports, dashboards, and BI visualizations (Power BI, Tableau).

• Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and reporting views

• Ensure data accuracy through validation, auditing, and issue resolution

• Collaborate with stakeholders, IT, and DBAs to define requirements and maintain data infrastructure.

• Maintain documentation and uphold coding, data quality, security, and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in report development, data querying, or coding.

• Experience using Python, SQL system and data coding for extraction, transformation, and reporting.

• Experience using Databricks, or experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).

• Familiar with data warehousing concepts and structured data processes.

• Translate business requirements into technical data solutions.

• Experience with Python for scripting or data manipulation is a plus.

• Background in payment processing or financial data reporting is an advantage.

• Knowledge of ETL concepts or experience with automated data pipelines.
